Delivery & Returns

Our aim is customer satisfaction, we want you to be happy with the purchases you have made. If for any reason what you have purchased is not suitable, we are happy to provide you with an exchange or refund, excluding sale or discounted items including a percentage off sale. Exchange is available for garments that are still currently available for sale online. There will be no refunds for change of minds on any sale items. Poppyseed Maternity must receive any returns within 14 days of invoice date and 28 days for New Zealand customers to return the unsuitable garment. 


ITEMS MUST BE IN UNWORN AND IN ORIGINAL CONDITION AND PACKAGING WITH SWING TAGS ATTACHED OR NO EXCHANGE/REFUND WILL BE GIVEN. All items are checked before they are sent out to ensure that swing tags attached. Items must not have smells such as perfume etc, otherwise a refund will not be given.

We recommend using a postage bag with tracking available such as Express Post or Registered Post, as Poppyseed Maternity will not be responsible for any parcel sent by customer that is lost in transit, which does not have a tracking number. If a garment is not received and cannot be tracked then unfortunately a refund or exchange will not be given.


Poppyseed Maternity have sourced the best quality material from the best suppliers to give the best possible garments to our beautiful growing mumma's-to-be. However, in the situation where you believe that a garment may appear faulty, or different from the description provided on the website, please send us an email through the contact page on the website and we will try to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We will require the garment to be returned to us to be examined, and if the garment is correctly identified as faulty, the customer will be reimbursed any postage fees that may have applied to return the garment. A receipt for the postage cost must be enclosed. No refunds will be issued for postage without a receipt. 


Simply download the exchange form, ensure you attach a copy of your original invoice to the Exchange Form. Include your banking details if paid by direct debit. Refunds are for the cost of the goods only. 
Funds are refunded in the same way that they were initially paid, either by direct debit or Paypal. We only accept credit card payments via Paypal. Signing up with Paypal is optional and payment can still be made if you choose not to. Paypal is the gateway provider if you choose to use this option. 


We aim to process the refund as soon as we have received the unwanted item. However, during peak periods, this may take longer than expected. Refunds processed via Paypay can take 3-5 working days to appear back in the card holders account. 


All exchanges are processed as a new sale and a return. Should you require a different size, simply place and pay for a new order online and send your original order back to us for a refund or store credit. All customers are responsible for the cost of returning any unsuitable items. 

If we unfortunately send an item that in incorrect, Poppyseed Maternity will send you the correct item with all postage costs being paid for by Poppyseed Maternity. 

Postage and Delivery 

Goods will be delivered on business days. No deliveries will be made on weekends or public holidays. We use FASTWAY COURIERS as our means of delivering regular post parcels and Australia Post for all Express Deliveries. Tracking your parcel is available on both of these websites.

A signature is required upon delivery. If no one is available to sign for the parcel, a notice will be left at your address notifying you of pick-up arrangements. 
We recommend either a work address (please include full business name, receivers name and other relevant details) or PO BOX for prompt delivery. If a PO Box is requested as the delivery address, the we send packages via Australia Post.  Goods may be delayed due to circumstances (such as adverse weather, strikes etc.) beyond the control of Poppyseed Maternity. 


Australian Standard Courier Delivery 

Postage $7.95

Pending credit card authorisation, verification and availability of stock, delivery will take up to 3-10 business days (excluding remote areas which may take up to 18 business days). 

Australian Express Delivery by AUSPOST 

Postage $12.95

We strive to dispatch our express orders the same day when an order is placed before midday (1200hrs), however pending credit card authorisation, verification and availability of stock, dispatch can take between 1 to 5 business days. 


New Zealand 

Postage $15.00 AUD 

Pending credit card authorisation, verification and availability of stock, delivery will take up to 7-20 business days, on occasion, some shipments may take long depending on the postal services in your area.

PLEASE NOTE: To comply with Australian export regulations we are required to declare the exact value of all items ordered and to mark them as dutiable 'merchandise'. We are also prohibited by law from marking the order as a 'gift', even if the order is placed with the intention of sending to a gift recipient. 


We cannot accept responsibility for delays in delivery due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. Strikes, floods etc.). All colours of products are reproduced as accurately as possible, however a slight variation may occur in colour and size specifications. Colours may appear slightly different via this website due to computer picture resolution and individual monitor settings. Offers are available until stocks sell out.
